WELCOME
We all know life can be tough sometimes. It can affect our minds, bodies, and hearts (that is, who we are at our core, our spirit). At Resilient Heart Psychology, my hope is that whatever difficulty you are facing, with support you can build the kind of 'resilient heart' that will help you survive, thrive and flourish in life.
Resilient Heart Psychology is a Clinical Psychology practice that provides adult therapy services (for individuals aged 18yrs +).
Resilient Heart Psychology is not accepting new referrals at this time. Please check back later for updates.
ABOUT ME
Natasha Herbert, Clinical Psychologist
BA, BPsychSc (Hons), MPsychol(Clin)
Pronouns: She/Her
I am a Clinical Psychologist and AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor based in Sydney CBD. I have been working with clients on their mental health and wellbeing for 10 years.
My approach is empathic, down-to-earth, and practical. I hope to make you feel empowered, safe and encouraged to make the changes you want to in your life. Whilst this can be difficult, I will work alongside you to guide and cheer-lead you through the process.
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults across multiple settings, including public and private hospitals, clinical research centres, schools, and private practice. I am passionate about helping individuals with a range of difficulties and mental health concerns. I work inclusively with clients from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, identities (LGBTIQA+), spiritual/religious beliefs and from various walks of life.
I am also passionate about providing support to individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns. I have worked intensively in this area across various Inpatient, Day Program, Outpatient, and private practice settings in NSW for over 8 years. This includes Wesley Hospital Eating Disorder Clinic (Ashfield), Peter Beumont Day Program and the Outpatient Eating Disorder Service (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital). I am trained in CBT-E, SSCM, DBT-ED, CRT and I draw on the Carolyn Costin Model and other approaches. I have had the opportunity to work closely with GPs, Psychiatrists, Dietitians, Occupational therapists, Art Therapists, and Exercise Physiologists, and appreciate the benefit of a multidisciplinary approach to care. I will work with you wholistically, to find your own individual path to recovery.
Alongside working with clients, I have also been a clinical supervisor at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Psychology Clinic, helping provisional psychologists complete their clinical training.
